"Sleep Tight" by Holly Humberstone will be your next fave song
If you've ever experienced the transition from friends to lovers, "Sleep Tight" is for you. Even if you haven't, you'll still enjoy dancing around in your room to it. Holly Humberstone dropped her newest wistful single on April 29th, and we could not be more obsessed with it. The song captures what it is like to get into a new relationship...or develop an existing one.
The British singer/songwriter is currently opening on the Sour tour for Olivia Rodrigo. Holly co-wrote this song with the 1975's Matty Healy—with whom she also collaborated for "Please Don't Leave Just Yet," from her EP The Walls Are Way Too Thin.

Her lyrics reflect the theme of diving into a new relationship, "I've done it again/I almost killed a friendship, and I sure hope it's worth it." Holly Humberstone tells FLOOD magazine, "It's awkward trying to navigate catching feelings for a friend, as they are often feelings we might have been suppressing for some time." Totally relatable!
The music video gives off Avril Lavigne 2000s vibes—and we are in L-O-V-E! Holly is in a messy minivan. This energy is a lot more lighthearted than most of her music. "Sleep Tight" will be your summer song on repeat.
