We are *so* excited because Ulta Beauty just named the outstandingly successful Tracee Ellis Ross their new Diversity and Inclusion Advisor! Tracee *stays* blowing us away with the amazing impact she continues to have on her fans by being a vocal activist of #blacklivesmatter, and through her new beauty brand Pattern Beauty.
Pattern Beauty launched exclusively with Ulta in 2019 and it centered around celebrating black beauty and focused on curly, coily and tight textured hair.
As their Diversity and Inclusion Advisor Tracee will be working closely with the CEO of Ulta Beauty, Mary Dillon. One of her main roles will be supporting brands founded by people of color that they sell at Ulta and any brands of this kind that Ulta takes on in the future.
Tracee has *tons* of goals for herself in this role and most of them lay in the mission her brand, Pattern Beuty was founded on. Which is about celebrating everyone's unique authentic selves. She is going to further encourage Ultas already present efforts in being inclusive of how people care for their hair in particular.
Tracee's new appointment comes as Ulta doubles the number of Black owned brands available in stores and will be investing $25M to encourage diversity. #ESSENCE https://t.co/ZCry9aASTD
