"Well it’s 11/24 and 24-11=13 so I’ve got an announcement," Taylor shared on her Instagram. "You haven’t seen this film before."

The film, titled folklore: the long pond sessions, follows Taylor's journey recording her latest album while in isolation in the Hudson Valley due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's an album that allows you to feel your feelings, and it's a product of isolation," Taylor says. "This could have been a time where I absolutely lost my mind. And instead, I think, you know, this album was like a real flotation device."

folklore, released last July, is one of Taylor's most intimate albums yet, inspired by her time alone during the last quarantine. The acoustics, the isolated piano, and the breathy vocals are all so signature Taylor, but with that mystical twist we've all come to love from the album.

And while her initial recording of folklore was done completely remote, the long pond sessions are the first time she was able to record with her team. folklore: the long pond sessions will see Taylor recording her whole album for all of us to see.

"Because it turns out, everybody needed a good cry," Taylor jokes in the trailer.

We'll be listening to folklore all day now, until we can see her perform on the screen.
