Milo Manheim made *the* summer 2020 anthem (ft. the Zombies cast)
ICYMI: Milo Manheim, best known for starring as zombie-turned-football-star Zed in the 2018 Disney Channel movie Zombies (and this year’s Zombies 2), dropped the new anthem of the summer a few days ago. The song, called “We Own The Summer”, is *just* what we need rn.
Milo is no stranger to song and dance. Before becoming a mega-star for his performance in Zombies, he had roles in over twenty different musicals. And after Zombies, he placed second on season 27 of Dancing With the Stars, a super-impressive feat.
His new single is an upbeat pop track with a catchy chorus. The song is especially fitting for those still stuck at home because of the pandemic, with lyrics like “Dance party on WiFi,” and “We’re making memories over the phone,” perfectly capturing how we’ve all gotten used to hanging out this year.

The music video reunites Milo with his Zombies castmates to jam in their backyards and dance together over video calls. You get to see faves like Meg Donnelly (AKA peppy cheerleader Addison), Chandler Kinney (who played fierce werewolf Willa), and Baby Ariel (the ever-relatable Wynter) lip-syncing, partying, and taking a swim.
The energetic “We Own The Summer” vid will inspire you to hold your own backyard dance party—while jamming to the song, of course! Peep the video below and stream the song on Spotify here.
