Your 2021 summer style guide…inspired by Emma Chamberlain

It’s the moment we’ve *all* been waiting for. Emma Chamberlain has finally given us the DL on what she’s wearing this summer! When she isn't filming YouTube videos or slurping iced coffee, she's serving us lewks. Some risky options to some casual basics—she’s def got you covered. We made a list of *everything* you need in your closet to prep for summer. Mix and match any of these pieces for the cutest and trendiest outfits.

White crop top

This is your staple shirt for the summer. You can wear it on its own or layer something on top like an overshirt. Throw it on with your fave denim shorts when in outfit doubt.

Patterned and colored crop tops

A refreshing yet simple change from your basic white.

This includes button-up blouses and cardigans—perfect for layering or wearing on their own. Pro tip: Button only the top half for a flowy statement on the bottom.

Vintage tees

Channel your inner California-in-the-90s vibe and pair with any bottoms in your closet.

Denim vest

Denim vest...but make it a shirt. Wear your vest buttoned up this summer.

Touristy sweatshirt

Even if you've never been to Hawaii, Emma is making us wish we had this crewneck.

Knit vest

Vests are everywhere this year. We love a collared shirt underneath a sweater vest, but we may love knit vests on their own even more.

Jean shorts

A good pair of denim shorts is a necessity, obvi.

Sheer and long skirts

Another great option for a bathing suit cover-up.

Knit shorts

Could you tell knit fashion is in this summer?

Track shorts

Buy these for a retro look.

Biker shorts

Wear a pair of biker shorts with a white tank, colorful jacket and sneakers for a sporty feel.

"Golf dad preppy shorts"

We saw Emma Chamberlain wearing preppy dad shorts and loafers, so naturally, we bought preppy dad shorts and loafers.

White pants

White always gives off the *greatest* summer vibes.

Does this need any explanation?

Sweat shorts

As Emma says, she could wear a sweat short outfit to sleep or to the beach. That's when you know you found your perfect summer fit.

Birkenstock sandals

Who would have thought that socks and sandals would *actually* be considered trendy?

Simple little sneaker

A simple pair of sneaks pairs perfectly with almost any outfit.

Dress them up or dress them down—the loafer is a super versatile shoe.

Baseball cap

Forgot the dry shampoo? No worries. Hide a bad hair day with a vintage baseball cap.

Bucket hat

Does anything say VSCO girl summer quite like a cute bucket hat?

From cat-eye to aviators, there are plenty of styles to match your vibe.
