Revamp your BTS wardrobe with these easy tricks

Fashion-wise, the first few weeks of school are *so* exciting. You get to show off all your cute new clothes to your classmates and you walk down the hallways with your besties feeling (and looking!) like a total #boss.

But then comes the "second week slump," as we like to call it. It only takes two to three weeks into school year for dressing to become an absolute nightmare, as you stand in front of your closet realizing you've worn all of your new clothes. Fear not, babe. You actually can get more wear out of your BTS outfits than you think.

We're breakin' it down piece-by-piece to show you exactly how to revamp your BTS buys with items you already own.

Sure, it's super easy to style a sundress with a pair of sandals like you did the first week, but it's time to spice things up for round two. Pick your favorite sundress from the summer and throw a plaid shirt on over it, or tie it around your waist. The more feminine the dress and the grungier the plaid, the better—the two contrasting styles will make for a unique pairing. Tip: Look at all the colors in your plaid shirt and choose a dress that coordinates.

It's easy to make a slip dress super girly—just chuck on a flowy cardi, some lace up sandals and you're good to go. In the first go around, that was probably your go-to, but to *really* make this piece stand out, you've gotta go the opposite direction. Next time, pair your silky slip dress with unique sneaks and some spunky space buns (like these!). You'll look trendy as anything.

Sweet shoes (like above, duh!) are the must have shoe of the year, which means that everyone is rocking it this back-to-school season. That makes it all the more important for you to stand out. Regardless of how you styled the shoe on your first go around, it's likely you didn't think to pair it with this color: white. White on white sounds like a big no-no, but it works here—trust. Get the glowy look that everyone is gaga over right now (probs thanks to Glossier) by amping up your highlight. Pop some on the top of your cheekbones, inner corner of your eye, down the middle of your nose, your cupid's bow and on your brow bone. Keep the rest of your look dark with black skinnies and a simple black top—it'll look fab.

Yes, a denim jacket is an amazing thing to throw over a dress at anytime, but it looks just as perf when paired with some pretty pins. Pins have been *all* over Instagram and fashion blogs lately, so surely you've seen this easy-peasy way to accessorize. If you want to get a li'l more festive, throw a few patches on there, too.

A plain white T-shirt should be a staple in every BTS wardrobe, because there are endless ways to style it. When you're feeling trendy this week, ask your mom if you can take a peek at her old-school silk scarves. If she doesn't have any, hit up your local thrift store. Either way, find a print and color combo that makes your eyes pop and tie it round your neck. You'll probably feel like Fred from Scooby Doo at first, but just embrace it.
