"Real friends" -- An original poem

Real Friends

Friends move on
They change
If I want to start a new dawn
I will have to go through pain
People try too hard
To be considered "cool”
Old friends they discard
They end up looking like fools
They can pretend they can’t see me
Or that everything’s the same
But I’ll still be angry
I’m done playing games
I’m through hanging out with people who only care about trends
From now on I’ll be with my real friends
