This singer just reminded us how easy it is to volunteer
And it feels pretty amazing, too
Recently, Madison McWilliams showed us just how simple it is to make others smile. The philanthrophic teen pop singer met with children from Make-A-Wish—a foundation she works with frequently as an ambassador—at Macy's in Dallas and performed a few of her songs in-store alongside some adorable Wish Kids as a part of Macy's Believe Letters to Santa initiative . How fun!
But here's the thing: you don't have to have pipes like Madison's in order to pass along a bit of cheer. This time of year, there are so many people who could use a helping hand.
Here are just a few ways to get involved:
+ Serve a meal at a local soup kitchen
+ Donate unused coats, scarves, hats, etc. to a local clothing drive
+ Gift supplies to the firefighters fighting the deadly Californa fires right now
+ Donate blood
+ Run a canned food drive at your school
Not into any of these ideas? No sweat. There are *so* many resources available online for finding the perfect gig. Some of our faves include: VolunteerMatch, TeenLife, United Way and American Red Cross.
Happy volunteering!
