It's the time of year where students get their college acceptance letters. And yes the process was lengthy, tiresome and overall *stressful*, but it's so worth it when you get that letter. These GIFs totally describe how you felt the past six(ish) months. 

You're visiting a bunch of colleges and you're feeling pretty good about your options. Everything looks perfect.

You get home and start talking to your guidance counselor/advisor about your options. They leave you feeling pretty confident about yourself. 

So you go home and start applying. You get up to the essay section and you're feeling like this:

But in reality, all you have is this:

How are you supposed to be witty, serious, clever, show off your knowledge and also be relatable all in one essay about "an obstacle you've overcome"?

You head back to school to as your teacher to review your essay...and let's just say that they have a lot of notes. 

Just as you were losing all hope, your guidance counselor shows you your transcript and it's lowkey amazing. Guess those honors classes really paid off!

Now it's time to finalize those applications and hit the dreaded "Submit" button. 

You did it! You're so glad it's finally over. Now you can relax. 

But then you realize you have to sit around until a letter comes in the mail. They said they'd get back to you as soon as possible, but you know that isn't true. Every day is like:

Weeks go by and you *finally* get a letter in the mail. You get your first acceptance into your safety school! 

Another letter comes a couple of days later. You open it cautiously. This school was definitely a reach.

It's a rejection. You knew this would come eventually, but you didn't think you'd feel so terrible. 

More waiting. It feels like it's been an *eternity*, but the day has finally come when you're top choice school gets back to you.

Alright, let's do this. 

You got in! OMG! You did it! Words literally cannot describe how you feel...so you scream and dance instead. 

You call your friends and they're by your side in a heartbeat, obviously screaming for joy.

You finally settle down and just think to yourself:

Now all that's left is officially committing to one school, which is a *whole* other story.
