Fall = pumpkins. And if you're a pumpkin spice latte addict like 99 percent of the world, you know there's nothing better than the combo of cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. To help satisfy your seasonal cravings, we found the most decadent dessert that tastes exactly like your fave Starbucks order. Make it now, thank us later.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 cups flour
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, beat together butter, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
3. Add egg and vanilla. Then beat in pumpkin and flour until combined.
4. Drop dough on your cookie sheet (line it with parchment paper first!) and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and let cool.
5. For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Once the cookies are cool, frost.
