3 super tasty ways to upgrade your PB&J
Everybody loves a good PB&J. They're easy to make, satisfying and delicious—but for this school year, why not mix it up a little bit? Here are some cool new takes on the classic school lunch.
Pomegranate PB&J
It’s like your standard peanut butter and jelly but with an extra kick of fruit aka pomegranate. The seeds add some texture and another layer of flavor to the sandwich. If you don’t like pomegranate seeds, try it with strawberries or another fruit that you like. Tip: Use thicker slices of bread and don’t overdo it with the filling or things will get messy.
Banana Cinnamon PB&J
Mix peanut butter with a pinch of cinnamon and then slice up a banana for a flavorful twist. If you're craving something even sweeter, swap the jelly for Nutella.
PB&J Pound Cake
If your sweet tooth isn't completely satisfied yet, it’s about to be. Instead of using bread for your next sammie, make it a dessert and put the peanut butter and jelly in between two slices of pound cake. If you are feeling even more adventurous, you can switch the slices of pound cake with banana bread or French Toast. The possibilities are endless!
