CRUSHES

Advice

Work hard, play hard with these four productive dates

Squeezing in time to see your S.O. can be hard once school is back in session. With practice, homework and more taking up all your time, how's a girl to get a little boo time? Answer: By planning a productive date. Check out four of our faves below.
P.S. Don't have a BF or GF? These are just as effective and fun with a bestie or BGF!

1. Plan a study date.

It's the oldest trick in the book—but you two *can* take it seriously. Whether you're in the same class, grade or even just school, why not circle up with some snacks and crank that HW out? Get through the grind by making little deals with each other: 10 math probs = 10 minute walk around the block, finished essay = movie marathon, etc. Trust us—pre-calc is always better with company.

2. Volunteer together.

Community service requirements, college app building, or just a general sense of well-being...all good reasons to get out there and make a difference. Make your BF/GF your partner in....well, whatever the opposite of crime is. They can make you feel more confident and comfortable in the volunteer environment, and the work will no doubt bring the two of you closer.

3. Work it out.

You've got to stay fit, so why not bring the BF? Everyone knows that working out is always better with a friend, and breaking a sweat with your boo is the ultimate motivation. Amp it up by finding specifically designed couple or partner workouts to keep it fresh, flirty and fit.

4. Play house.

Do chores together. Granted, this one will probably only work if you two are pretty serious—that new fling is *not* going to want to help with the dishes! But if you're on that level, invite him or her over to help you clean your room, paint the fence or whatever your mom has been on your case about, then return the favor at his or her house. Everything will get done double quickly, leaving more time for movies, dinner and other stuff you actually want to do.

Have you ever been on a productive date (or bestie date)? How do you make time for your S.O.? Let us know below!
