Whether you'll start out as a freshman this fall or are sliding into senior year, odds are you'll have your fair share of crushes in the hallowed halls of your high school. Ahead, we’ve got the five types you’re bound to fall for.

1. The Jock

Maybe you can't take your eyes off of him at the Friday night football game, or she totally stuns you at the soccer match. Either way, you're totally in love...and never say a word. Still, though, the number 16 (or 4...or 64...) will always make your heart flutter a little.

2. The Goof 

The goofy guy or gal is *so* annoying...and you like it. Whether they're pulling pranks in class or doing some ridiculous lip synch in the talent show, you want to share their spotlight and can seriously picture you two laughing your way into the sunset. After a while, though, the fart jokes will get old—we promise. 

3. The No-Name 

Who even is this person, and why are you in love with them? You've only ever had one class together, but you feel like there's some weird mutual attraction going on. Try to explore it—seriously! You don't want to be talking about the one that got away at your five-year reunion.

4. The Mysterious Musician

Tons of eyeliner, cute floppy hair, lyrics that touch your soul...this music-maker will steal your heart at open mic night and hold onto it for months. Shy, sensitive types can make for super intense relationships, though, so don't push for it unless you're ready for the long haul.

5. Your BGF.

Sad, but true. It's the oldest story in the book—but maybe it'll work out for you! Hey, it happens—just ask Rydellington.
