CRUSHES

Advice

My crush supposedly said inappro things about me. Should I give him a chance anyway?

I went with my best friend to her brother's hockey tournament. I knew there would obviously be guys there, but I didn't know my friend and I would actually be hanging out with them. Her brother said I shouldn't to stay in touch with the guy I really liked because he was talking inappropriately about me but liked me. He asked for asked for my number, so I wrote it down and gave it to him. What should I do?

Hey girl! Here’s our advice: Run! Do not text back, do not get involved. Odds are, your bestie’s bro is looking out for you like he would for his own sis. Would he really want her, or her friend, getting involved with a guy who probably wants to move way too fast? Nope, that’s why he said something.

You deserve to be treated with respect. If this guy can’t use more, ahem, eloquent ways to talk about you, find a guy who will. Trust us, he’s out there.

If you still wanna give this guy a shot, ask him straight up what he said about you. Then, take it with a hefty, hefty grain of salt. Sure, flings and relationships that don’t work out can turn into quality learning experiences. But there are some you’ll wish you could have avoided. This might be one of them.
