Wanna go to formal but your BF can't come? Here's what to do
Hey girl! That sounds like a sticky sitch. While you don't want it to seem like you're replacing your boyfriend, you also don't want to be stuck going alone.
There are a couple of ways you could tackle this formal. If you have BGF, you could ask him to be your date for the night. Your boyfriend should understand that you're simply going with your bestie and that he has nothing to worry about. Send him a few quick texts throughout the night to let him know you're having fun, but still miss him and haven't forgotten about him. This way, you still have someone to pose for pics and dance with, without hurting anyone’s feelings.
If you think your boyfriend still won't be comfortable with a BGF situation, ask your girls if they would want to go as a group instead of with dates. It's always super fun to have a night without worrying about boys, hitting the dance floor with the gals. Or if your crew is all coupled up, go stag. It’s better to go alone than not go at all—trust. Either way you go, it's sure to be fun, so don't stress it too much!
