Help! My BF likes another girl--am I a temporary GF?


My boyfriend is one year older than me and likes a girl in his grade. He actually told me this. He also likes her more than me. So, am I his temporary girlfriend and right when she asks him out will he just drop me?? Is this even real?!
Oh boys. That's tough stuff. Instead of thinking about who your BF likes or what he wants, take a moment and really think about what you want in a relationship. Do you want to date someone who openly admits to liking someone else? If you feel like he's not respectful of you or your feelings, then it's time to move on. It's not worth spending time with a person who makes you feel replaceable.
If you like, you can have a one-on-one conversation where you explain to him why it's hurtful when he tells you he likes another girl more than you. If he doesn't apologize or revoke his earlier confessions, then it's definitely time to walk away. You've heard it before, but it's totes true: there are lots of fish in the sea, and plenty who will appreciate you as the star(fish) that you are. Good luck, chica!
