A BF/bud balancing act
I need some help in balancing time with my boyfriend and friends.
Dear Bad at Balancing,
I’m impressed that you’re already aware that it’s a challenge—and a goal—to find time for all the people who matter to you. My best tip: Don’t try to get everyone together all the time. Sure, big parties are fun. But your friends want one-on-one time and so does your BF, so going out as a group is not as ideal as you might think.
Can you study with one friend, work out with another, spend Friday with the girls, Saturday with your guy? One-on-one phone calls strengthen relationships, too. (And don’t forget a little time just for you.)
