How to convince your parents to let you have a BF
I want to convince my
parents that I can hang out with guys and girls and have a boyfriend, but any
time I mention this, they get mad. My guy friends are like brothers to me, but
my parents always assume that they are my boyfriends, which they aren't. Any
suggestions?
Dear Talking about Boys to Parents,
If you don't have a BF, why stress your parents out over this? Can't you wait until it is more of an issue? It's great to have friends, male and female, so for now, instead of arguing, "I'm old enough to have a BF!" just say, "Mom, Dad, relax. No worries. We're really all just friends."
