EXCLUSIVE! 6 facts you *didn't* know about Brat TV's Alysa Gutierrez-Sierra
Alysa Gutierrez-Sierra is already one of the biggest and brightest up-and-coming stars in the entertainment industry. You know (and love) her from Brat TV's MANI and Charmers, and it's pretty much impossible to scroll past one of her high-energy IG dance videos without dropping a like and comment. We can't get enough of her sparkly personality or killer choreo, so we had to sit down and get the scoop on all things Alysa, ofc. Scroll to find out more about the amaze actress and dancer we'll *definitely* be watching for in 2022.
1. Alysa's danced for some seriously A-list celebs—including Justin Bieber!
Alysa: "I've been dancing since I was two years old. When I was seven, there was an audition to dance for Justin Bieber. So, I filmed my audition tape in my house, submitted it and got the job! It was my first dance job, and I was so excited. After performing on stage with him, I realized that I wanted to continue dancing and eventually turn it into a professional career."
2. She watches Disney and Nickelodeon (just like us!).
"This past year, I worked on Brat TV's new show called Charmers. In the future, I would also love to be in anything Disney or Nickelodeon! I've been watching those channels for my whole childhood. It would just be a dream come true."
3. Her celeb idol is Jennifer Lopez.
"She inspires me, she does everything *and* she's Latina, like me! She was a dancer before becoming an actress and singer later on in her career. I want to follow in those footsteps and try new things, too."
4. Alysa has her own process for choreographing dances...
"First, I listen to a song either on the radio or in my room. I like to hear it a couple of times. Around the second listen, I'll start freestyling it out and, if I like it, I'll take a couple of those moves and put it together to go with the beat. If I really like it, I'll teach it to some of my friends so we can film it."
5. ...*and* she makes her own jewelry!
"I go to Michael's or Jo-Ann's to pick out beads I like. Then, if I find inspiration in a magazine or online, I try to go off of that. But sometimes I come up with my own ideas, and my sister and I like to make jewelry together."
6. She totally believes in the power of personal dreams.
"Never give up on your dreams. As long as you put your mind and heart into it, you can achieve your goals. Make sure you just keep on working hard, and you'll get there!"
