Leave it to Kacey Musgraves to turn heartbreak into a perfect summer-fall album. Like so many of our favorite artists, she was busy writing and recording during quarantine. Now that the album is available for streaming and download, here's everything you should know before you blast it in your earbuds.  

1. Kacey's recently divorced
In July of 2020, Kacey announced that she was separating from her then-husband, Ruston Kelly. Themes of heartbreak and finding love again are sprinkled all throughout the 15 tracks, especially in the titular track one, "star-crossed."

2. There's a visual component to the album
Along with the album's release, Kacey also gave us a film with the same title. She describes it as "a modern tragedy told in three acts." You can watch the trailer here:

Don't be fooled by the circumstances—Kacey transformed her not-so-ideal life changes into some upbeat songs that are sure to boost your mood *and* get you in your feels. In other words, this album is perfect for any scenario, so get ready to blast it all autumn long.
