The biggest OMG celeb moments of the week
Selena and Sheeran—set up by Swift?!
Who knew Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran had more in common than ultra-catchy jams and super sweet smiles? Apparently, a romance is blooming between the two talented musicians. Even better, Taylor Swift is said to be responsible for hooking Gomez up with Sheeran, who joined Swift for her Red Tour this past year. You get some major bestie points for that one, Tay! Perhaps 22-year-old Ed will help Sel forget ex Justin Bieber’s childish ways. Whatever the reason, we’re psyched for these cuties—and we’ve got our fingers crossed for a musical collab.
Girl Meets World meets Disney
From Hannah Montana to Shake It Up, we can’t get enough of Disney Channel’s rockin’ shows. And next year, it’s poised to get even better! The network announced this week that it’s picked up the comedy spin-off of ABC’s hit ’90s Boy Meets World. We’re always up for some vintage, and the Girl Meets World series is sure to live up to those expectations. It will include both fresh teen faces and adult stars from the original series. A double win if you ask us!
Uh oh, Shailene’s out of Spider-Man
News broke
this week that Shailene
Woodley was recently cut from the upcoming Spider-Man sequel, which
is set to hit theaters in 2014. Instead, she will apparently make an appearance
in the saga’s third flick, due for release two years later. Even though
Shailene Woodley admitted to being "bummed," she is totally staying positive!
When asked about the disappointing dump she replied, "I am a firm believer in
everything happening for a specific reason." Stay strong, Shailene! Good thing
you’ve got that mega movie Divergent to
keep ya busy.the
Victoria Justice is releasing a new album
When Victorious wrapped its final season, we didn’t want to say goodbye to adorbs actress-singer Victoria Justice. Thankfully, we don’t have to. The young star just announced her plans for her first solo album to drop later this year. And Vic seems just as happy about this news as we are. She recently said, "I'm very excited for everyone to hear my own sound and who I am as an artist." Trust us, V, we can’t wait to hear it either.
After a few freakouts and driving dramas from Justin Bieber this past year, we’re sadly not too surprised that he is in trouble yet again. The 19-year-old and his pal, Lil Twist, were leaving a comedy club in Hollywood Monday night when the incident went down. The two hopped into the Beibs’ Ferrari and sped off, allegedly hitting a paparazzi photographer in the process. The victim’s leg was badly damaged, but thankfully, the injury isn’t life-or-death. Still, why wasn’t Justin more careful? Are all these car-related crises just coincidences? Can someone get this kid a bicycle or something safer instead?
A 16-year-old superstar is born
On Tuesday, NBC’s The Voice crowned 16-year-old Danielle Bradbery as its fourth season’s winner. The Texan teen had never even performed in public before the show’s blind auditions, and she’s certainly proved that a little bravery can have a big impact. Even more exciting, Danielle is now signed with the same record company as Taylor Swift. Woo hoo! It’s always super inspiring to see a fellow female teen shooting for the stars and working hard to make her dreams come true.
