You might have your besties at school, but nothing quite compares to the love and companionship you share with your dad. For all the daddy's girls out there, these are the ten signs that your pops is the O.G. BFF.

1. He always takes your side.
When you get in fights with your siblings, you know you'll win in the end. Dad has always got your back even if he puts on a front that he's mad for your mother. 

2. He's the first person you call in any situation.
Boy drama, promotion at your job, girl gossip...whatever the case may be, your dad is your go-to to vent and share the good news with. 

3. He's cool with your friends.
He definitely embarrasses you from time to time but he's also the cool dad that all your friends envy. As much as you beg him to leave you alone during your sleepover, you're secretly glad he pops in (plus, you're so proud of how "down" he is with the modern lingo).

4. He's the one person who always cheers you up.
Even though your dad knew that boy wasn't right for you he never says "I told you so" when you're going through a tough breakup. Your dad is your rock and he always finds ways to make you laugh through the heartache.

5. He your best shopping buddy.
When it's time to go back-to-school shopping or you're in need of a dress for for winter formal, Dad is the one you plan a shopping trip with before your friends at school. You trust his opinion more than anyone else–and it's easier to convince him to buy things for you!

6. He picks you up from late night hangouts with your friends, no matter what time it is.
Your dad is always willing to to pick you up from parties or movie dates with a new guy even if he has to lose sleep. Not only is he super reliable but he never asks too many questions about the night's events.

7. He constantly reminds you how proud he is of you.
Your dad never fails to remind you that you are enough and that he is proud of your accomplishments. He is your biggest support system through everything.  

8. He gives the best advice.
Your dad is a great listener and he's the person who knows you best. Even though you're not always in the mood to hear it, he always tells you exactly what you need to hear. 

9.  You guys have your own inside jokes.
There are certain little moments and jokes that only you and your dad share (even if it makes Mom mad!). 

10. He's your rock.
Your dad makes you feel like the most important person in the world and consistently proves that he always has your back. There is nothing he wouldn't do for you and you feel the exact same way.
