LIFE
Dear Carol
"Dear Carol, I wish my brother and I were closer"
Dear Carol,
My brother is seven years older than me and he doesn’t know I exist. I don’t expect to be best friends, but I want him to see I’m not just a little kid. What should I do?
–Big Brother Blues
Dear Big Brother Blues,
Talk to your brother. If you have a problem, ask for his opinion. He may be flattered by how much you value his input, and it will help him see you are growing up. Suggest that you walk to the dog or watch a DVD together. And don’t worry! As you get older, the age gap really will seem smaller and smaller.
