One of the ways Lexi Minetree prepared herself for rocking Elle’s pink fits, high heels and bubbly personality? Through repeating some of Reese Witherspoon’s iconic lines in the OG Legally Blonde.
Whether you write your own motto or borrow one from your role models, choose a phrase that makes you feel confident, capable and ready to take on your goals for the day (psst, it helps to journal the words or even hang them in places you can see).
Put Your Own Twist On Current Trends
Even though every outfit Elle brought to the table is worthy of its own Pinterest board, it’s her personal twists on a Nirvana T-shirt and plaid button-up that won’t leave our minds. She was even able to put a bright twist on Seattle plaid with her signature Elle-A pink.
Elle’s aware of the trends around her, but she’s also fearless in her style and fashion preferences. To take a page out of her book, see what trends are populating your feed and ask yourself what you can do to make them a little more uniquely you (maybe embroidery on your jean cuffs or bedazzling your phone case to start).

Anyone who knows Elle knows that she’s a total magazine girl, through and through. Not only does Elle use women’s magazines for fashion inspo and the latest Gemini horoscopes, but they become a big part of her navigating her new school and relationships. Pitch Something New To Your Friend Group
Between throwing Rainier West High School’s first-ever homecoming to leaping head over high heels into her first internship, Elle’s proven that she’s not afraid to try something new. To channel some of this Elle energy in your day-to-day sched, try to recruit some of your friends to join you on new side quests. For the adventurous girlies, think about trying out an escape room, indoor rock climbing or a trampoline park. Not your style? Choose a new movie or board game that will be sure to spark new inside jokes among your squad.
Remember: Going out of your comfort zone is a win! So say yes to the challenges and potential for new experiences.
Get Involved In A Community Cause
Even if your high school doesn’t have a massive corruption scandal to uncover (IYKYK), there are still ways to get involved in your community as Elle does. Like Elle, maybe you’re passionate about fashion (and its impact on workers and the environment). Elle might suggest targeting local thrift stores and social shopping apps for a style that’s also sustainable. You could also talk to your parents about spending some allowance on positive GoFundMe causes or hosting a bake sale for charity.
Beyond communal causes, Elle is supportive of both her friends and family. So random acts of kindness for those close to you *absolutely* align with Elle’s generous spirit. Great places to start? Helping your parents with the dishes, sharing sweet treats and supportive “You got this!” texts.
