Snag Sarah Hyland's gorge Oscar makeup

Although she wasn’t there to snag one of the coveted Oscars at this years 84th Annual Academy Awards, Sarah Hyland was still a winner in our book, donning a stunning purple Alberta Ferretti gown matched with flawless makeup. Makeup artist Allan Avendaño for Bellapierre Cosmetics gave us the inside scoop on his inspiration for Sarah’s makeup and how you can pull it off at home.

Allan’s inspiration:

“Sarah's eyes inspire me! She has the most stunning green eyes and I love to make that the focus of her makeup.”

What Allan used:

On the eyes: Allan went for a “classic bronze, smoky look” using Bellapierre’s eyeshadow shades in Lava, Diligence, Penny, and Champagne, then he used the brand’s On The Go Trio black mascara and eyeliner to “pump up her lashes and line her eyes.”
On the Go Trio (includes black liquid eyeliner, black mascara and vanilla lipgloss), $30, bellapierre.com
Bellapierre Shimmer Shadow in Champagne, $15, bellapierre.com

On the face: Allan swept loose Mineral Foundation in Cinnamon and gave Sarah an all-over glow with Mineral Bronzer in Starshine.

On the cheeks: Allan applied Mineral Blush in Desert Rose to warm up Sarah’s cheeks.
On the lips: Allan used a three-part process to make Sarah’s pout perfect: Nude Lip Liner went on first, then Catwalk Lipstick and a top coat of Champagne Lip Gloss. Gorgeous!

How to bring out your sparkling eyes:

  1. Apply a coppery shadow like Penny Shimmer Powder to the entire lid

  2. Dot a warm bronze hue like Diligence Shimmer Powder onto the outer corners

  3. Blend a shimmery taupe like Lava Shimmer Powder into the crease and on the bottom lashline

  4. Apply black liquid eyeliner on the top lid for a sexy cat eye to pull the eyes up a bit and black kohl liner on the waterline

  5. Sweep on two coats of black mascara to make the eyes pop

  6. Finish off with a sparkling beige shade like Champagne Shimmer Powder on the inner corners of the eyes for a glittering highlight
