Your sustainable spring style lookbook

Half the thrill of fashion is in the chase—whether it's thrifting everything-old-is-new-again finds, Poshmark-ing past-season faves, DIYing spring's hottest trends or renting pieces for that new-item fix without blowing all your bucks. This is how to shop smartly (and sustainably). And it looks good.

Blouse price upon request, Oksana Karavanska. Shorts, six pieces for $98 per month, Saachi rented from Nuuly. Boots, thrifted Circle G. Rings, $75 each, Maison Miru.

You didn't know resale could look like this. The trick? Look for pieces with similar vibes to create cohesive fits that are one of a kind. Here, a new, slow-fashion, statement-sleeve button-up and rented cutoffs are brought together by resale Western boots for a look that's a whole lot greater than the sum of its parts (though the boots are pretty incredible on their own).

Sustainable cotton top, $45, Lili Sidonio. Pants, six pieces for $98 per month, Saachi rented from Nuuly. Sunglasses, $125 and $74, vintage Versace from Poshmark. Bracelet, $90, and ring, $75, Maison Miru. Earrings, $45, Made by Mena.

Vintage-y tie-dye patterns or crocheted textures are timeless, so if you happen to stumble upon goodies like these, seize the moment. (We rented these pants, but they have major survived-the-'70s energy, no?)

Top, price upon request, Made by Mena. Skirt, six pieces for $98 per month, Kachel rented from Nuuly. Sneakers, Adidas from Poshmark. Hat, glasses and bag, thrifted. Earrings, garage sale. Necklace and bracelet, Poshmark.

She's an eco-conscious queen: This tube top is upcycled from literal pieces of waste from the streets of New York City. The shades, hat and jewelry are all thrifted—and the sweet floral skirt (rent her!) really brings the whole Earth Day Goddess aesthetic home.

Jacket, Adam Selman from Poshmark. Sustainable cotton dress, $326, Beyond by Vera. Flats, $52, Skechers from recycled materials. Earrings, $45, Made by Mena. Necklace, $110, Maison Miru. Ring, vintage from Etsy.

This slow-fashion dress gets a jolt of vintage cool from the hand-painted (!!!) denim jacket and recycled material flats for a look that's on point (get it?).

Corset, thrifted and hand embellished. Top, $65, The Incorporated. Pants, $195, and earrings, $45, Made by Mena. Necklace, $90, rings on right hand, $75 each, ring on left hand, $70, and necklaces as belt, $210 each, Maison Miru. Ear cuff, model's own.

The floral applique corset (a huge trend on spring runways) was a DIY project (we attached super inexpensive craft store flowers to a thrift store corset find). Layer it over a hand-painted crop top and pair with found patchwork denim to complete the "I made it myself" look.

Jacket, price upon request, Rock 'N Karma. Top, ReoRia from Poshmark. Skirt, price upon request, and necklace, $124, Made by Mena. Shoes, thrifted Forever 21.

The patterns are pattern-ing! Swirly marble effects on an upcycled skirt, '80s pop art boleros and color block corsets—too much will never be enough. Don't forget the metal pin fringe necklace (trash to treasure never looked so good, girl).

Top and skirt, $200 for the set, The Incorporated. Shoes, thrifted. Bracelet, $120, Maison Miru from recycled materials. Keychain, thrifted vintage Dior.

This two-piece eco-friendly handmade newsprint set is the stuff Y2K nostalgia's dreams are made of. And the designer dupe slides (thank you, neighborhood thrift shop) bring the whole thing back to the future.

Top and pants, price upon request, Nazarene Amictus. Earrings, $45, Made by Mena. Necklace, $90, Maison Miru.

Make your fit into a bouquet of beauty: darling rosette sleeves on a '60s mod-print crop top plus crochet-inlaid florals on upcycled jeans (a sustainable small brand serve). Who *doesn't* want to look like the field of flowers they're frolicking through?
