5 totally fetch moments from the new Mean Girls movie

Get in loser! Time to round up your besties and put on a fab pink outfit, because the new Mean Girls movie just dropped. This film puts a modern (and musical) spin on the 2004 classic we all know and love. The movie also features our absolute faves Reneé Rapp and Chris Briney (#Team Conrad).

Spoiler alert: Although it was literally impossible to narrow down, these are our top five moments that we can't stop thinking about...

1. Like, follow and share: Social media re-invented the Y2K classic

Social media is v. relatable to today's high school experience. Bc let's be honest: Most of our screen times are wayyy higher than we would like to admit. Throughout the movie, characters film GRWM videos, go viral on TikTok and like Insta posts—and we loved that modern touch. Fun fact: Reneé Rapp's personal Insta photos were used to create Regina's posts in the movie!

And we loved the little celeb cameos: Influencer Chris Olsen and rapper Megan Thee Stallion both made a surprise appearance in the movie's TikTok montage.

2. When Damian sang the iCarly theme song for extra credit in French

We've all been there, willing to do anything—literally anything—for some extra credit points. Damian captured our hearts by singing a slow and melancholy rendition of the iCarly theme song in front of the entire school for the winter talent show.

This proved that Damien is ~totally~ deserving of his self-proclaimed French name...Beyoncé.

3. When Regina absolutely slayed "Someone Gets Hurt"

Regina George: the villain we love to hate or hate to love? No matter where you stand there is no denying that Reneé Rapp's performance was iconic. The choreography, the costumes, the lighting and the *drama* all made this scene impossible to look away from.

Tbh, it made us almost understand why Aaron takes Regina back...emphasis on almost.

4. When Cady showed us calculus is super grool

Your limit does not exist! Pretending to be a bad student to get a boy's attention is super lame, and we are so glad Cady realized that. To redeem her grade (and her reputation) after a semester of failing quizzes on purpose, Cady is chosen to compete in the final round of the school's math tournament. She nails the tie-breaker question and realizes that authenticity is more important than high school popularity.

5. Lindsay Lohan's cameo

Lindsay Lohan, aka the original Cady Heron, made an appearance as a judge at the math tournament. When the competition came to a tie, she commented that a tie had only happened once before, referring to the tie in the original movie. We loved this Easter egg moment!
