Jet's new track "A Lot More Love" has a surprising message
With everything that's happening in the world today—Hurricane Florence, the political divide and everything in between—it's important to take a second to take a step back and just breathe.
Jet Jurgensmeyer's new song "A Lot More Love" is the perfect way to do just that. The track's message is simple: We could all use a little less hate and a lot more love. Don't you agree?
We chatted with Jet about the story behind the song and more. Get the deets below!
Girls' Life: What’s the story behind the song and the video? Where did you find the people to feature?
Jet Jurgensmeyer: My producer, Butch Baker, found the song for me. As soon as I heard it, I knew I wanted to record it. What really drew me in was the message in the lyrics. A lot of the people you see in the video are friends and family. The little boy in the beginning and at the end is my little cousin, Brooks.
GL: What’s your favorite song of yours? Why?
JJ: This is tough because I feel so attached to all of my songs. I would say right now "A Lot More Love." It just seems like this is really what the world could use a lot more of...love!
GL: Which do you love more: singing or acting?
JJ: People ask me this all the time and I always say, “I love them both equally.” I really do. I have been doing them both pretty much my whole life. I wouldn’t know what to do without either. I think the best way I could put them together would be to do a musical. That is on the bucket list!
