MSG Linked to Obesity
Ladies! Think twice before biting into that KFC chicken or start munching on those Cheetos.
According to the New York Times, researchers discovered that monosodium glutamate (MSG), a food additive, not only makes people eat more, but is also linked to obesity and being overweight.
Researchers performed a study on 752 men and women from three villages in China, where 80 percent of people use MSG while cooking. They found that those who used the most MSG were almost three times as likely to be considered obese or overweight.
MSG can be found in many canned soups or vegetables, instant foods, frozen foods, fast foods as well as some restaurant foods.
Although it is not considered toxic, whether MSG is healthy or not is still questionable.
See, eating veggies like your parents told ya is actually good for you!
