All the theories we have so far about Taylor Swift's new album Midnights
Taylor Swift loves dropping Easter eggs, and Swifties are just as obsessed with solving them. With the Midnights release only a few weeks away (and the official tracklist revealed), fans are certain Tay's got something up her sleeve...and the theories just keep coming. We know we'll be up 'til midnight trying to decipher all of them!
Three is better than one

Swifties have been waiting for the release of Speak Now TV and 1989 TV for what feels like forever. With the Speak Now and 1989-themed merch drop at the beginning of the summer, we were sure the re-records were coming, but it's been three months and no sign of 'em. Could Blondie be dropping Speak Now and 1989 TV at the same time as Midnights? Fans are thinking she just might be.
Why don't you just call Taylor up?
Taylor's TikTok series "Midnights Mayhem with Me" is everything Swifties could dream of. Full of potential easter eggs, Swifties are giving Sherlock Holmes energy trying to decipher them. Out of the 13 song titles Tay revealed, she held her phone upside down for two. Of course, fans are certain it means something. Do those tracks feature other artists? Are they going to be released as remixes on the Target-exclusive version? Or was Tay just messing with us?
Lost and found

We all know the drama that went down between Kanye West and T in 2016 after she released 1989. The vibes were, uh, not so good that year. Her feud with Kanye inspired her reputation album, which is an absolute masterpiece, ofc, but Swifties are certain there was another album in the works before the drama. Is Midnights this lost album? Fans are thinking Midnights might be a throwback to pre-reputation times and Tay's Bleachella/grunge/Tumblr vibe.

Miss Swift is known for her distinct eras—one for every album. With 13 new songs coming out on Midnights, Swifties are thinking each song might match up with a night from each of T's eras. It leaves us wondering which nights she'll be singing about. Maybe a throwback to the 2016 Met Gala (the origin of Jaylor, obvi)? Or "that September night" she told us about in Back to December?
Long time coming
With the reveal of "Karma" as one of the songs on Midnights, Swifties' heads are spinning. It seems like Taylor has had this album in the works for a long time. Blondie has been hinting at "Karma" since her 2016 Vogue interview and "The Man" music video from the Lover era. Can she hint at something three years in advance? Apparently, yes!
