Watch: Peyton Elizabeth Lee is proud of her heritage in this new video!

As it turns out, a lot is happening this May. It's Mental Health Month, Mother's Day is just around the corner *and* it's Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

What's heritage, exactly? Well, it's the traditions, achievements, beliefs, etc., that are part of the history of a group or nation. And this month, Disney Channel is shining the spotlight on a few talented actors and giving them the opportunity to share what being an Asian Pacific Islander means to them!

Bizaardvark's Madison Hu just shared her story and now Disney Channel's newest star, Peyton Elizabeth Lee from Andi Mack, is sharing hers with you, too. She exclusively told GL, "Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month is important to me because it reminds me to be grateful for my past and excited for my future," Peyton says. "I hope my story encourages others to learn more about their own family history."
