3 DIY hair masks for every hair type

 
Sometimes ya need a little more than your usual shampoo and conditioner to tame that mane. That's why we're all about getting crafty and refreshing our locks with a litle DIY love. From almond oil to honey, we’ve got the perfect potion for every hair sitch you may be dealing with.

    To smooth out frizzy hair

    Every curly girl is tired of her frizzy hair doing whatever it wants. Whip those strands into shape with this frizz-fighting hair mask

    What you’ll need:

    • 2 ripe bananas
    • 1-2 reaspoons of almond oil

    Directions:
    1. Puree 2 bananas in a blender until all the clumps are gone

    2. Stir the almond oil and the banana puree together in a small bowl.

    3. Work the mask through your hair from root to tip. 

    4. Once you’ve got full coverage, cover your hair with a shower cap and let it sit for 15 minutes.

    5. Rinse it out with just cold water.

    To get super shiny hair

    Want a Shay Mitchell-type of shine? Create an olive oil and honey mask. Not only does it breathe life into any dull ‘do, but it also just so happens to smell amazing.

     

    What you’ll need:

    • 4 tablespoon of olive oil
    • 2 tablespoon of honey
     

    Directions: 

    1. Mix the oil with the honey in a small bowl. 

    2. Distribute the mixture all over your hair—don’t forget the ends!

    3. Let the mix sit in your hair for 20 minutes.

    4. Rinse it out with conditioner.

    To fix dry and damaged hair

    If your hair is lacking hydration, then this is mask for you. It moisturizes in an instant so you can put your thirsty hair days behind ya.

     

    What you’ll need:

    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
    • 1 egg

    Directions: 

    1. Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl.

    2. Work the mixture throughout your hair.

    3. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes (opt for a shower cap to really lock in moisture).

    4. Shampoo & condition hair the way you normally would.
