Life Goes On
New beginnings, new ends,
Are they the same? Well that depends.
New learning, new feeling,
Hearts breaking, hearts healing.
The world is surprising, the world is living,
The world is remembering, the world is forgiving.
We have to remember that sometimes it's our job to pick up the pieces when others fall,
But we also can't forget to live life to the fullest and enjoy it all.
Because life goes on when it feels like it doesn't,
Was life there to catch you? No, it wasn't.
It didn't pick up the pieces, but it believes it's best to keep going,
Because life is believing, it isn't knowing.
When all else is ending,
And to be happy is pretending,
You have to know even the darkest night has a dawn,
As sure as first light, life goes on,
