Adorable semi-homemade Thanksgiving treats
Pie perfection
Grab a roll of refrigerated pie dough and a small cookie cutter. Cut out shapes, pop them on a cookie sheet and bake up until golden brown. Place on top of a pre-made pie and voila! Looks homemade, right?
Hats off!
Snag a box of round cookies, a bag of marshmallows, a bag of chocolate chips and a tube of yellow frosting. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl, use a dab of it to stick the marshmallow to the cookie, then carefully dip your little hat in the chocolate. Place on a sheet of wax paper to harden, then pipe on a buckle shape using the frosting. Instant pilgrim’s hat!
Let them eat cake
Whip up a quick glaze for a store bought bundt cake. Beat together 4 tbsp melted butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, 2 tbsp of milk and a 1/2 tsp of your favorite flavored extract. Drizzle over the cake, then sprinkle with fall-themed sprinkles.
Gobble ‘em up
Snag some sugar dough at the grocery store along with a few tubes of icing. Roll out the cookie dough, cut ‘em out in turkey shapes (leaves or pilgrims work, too), bake according to directions, then decorate once cool.
