All About You

Ten things to do when you're home alone

Being stranded home alone doesn’t have to be boring. While the rest of your family is out handling their business, you can have a day of leisure activity. So, get excited and choose which activity you want to do from the this list of fantastical fun.

1. Play loud music on a speaker

How many times does your mom yell at you to turn down your music? Well, mom isn’t home right now is she? So, blast your favorite music on your speaker and dance like there’s no tomorrow.

2. Cook your favorite meal

Sometimes we get lucky and our parents fix our favorite meal for dinner, but how often does that happen. Now you can cook your fave dish and have it all to yourself.

3. Watch your favorite childhood movies

How fun would it be to reminisce on old childhood memories. Sit back and take a trip down memory lane on the things that use to make you laugh, cry, or say “ewwwww.”

4. Make a vision board

Grab a pen and paper and list all the goals you want to accomplish by the end of the year. Then find visual representations of those goals to put on a vision board. Hang the board on your bedroom door for the perfect morning motivation.

5. Do a bold make-up look

Ditch your traditional make-up routine for a day and get creative. Check out some of the makeup looks during fashion week back in February and recreate one of those looks. You could even invite a friend over to do it with you.

6. Get caught up on your chores

Take this opportunity to stop procrastinating and get all your chores done. Clean your room, do your laundry and do your homework. Then treat yourself to some ice cream and a funny movie.

7. Binge watch a new TV show

There are so many TV shows on Netflix. Simply pick one, close the curtains and binge watch the day away.

8. Buy a new outfit online

Search your fave store online and buy a whole outfit. Get a dress, shoes, jewelry and a purse. Whatever you want.

9. Plan a party with your closest besties

You don’t need a reason to have a party. You’re young and alive, so do something a little spontaneous.

10. Read a book on your lawn

Lay a comfy blanket on your lawn, grab your current read and enjoy the sunny day.
