Gulp! Chocolate milk banned in L.A. Schools

Jamie Oliver’s food revolution is invading once again. This time, he helped get flavored milks banned from cafeterias across Los Angeles, according to a recent blog post on the Los Angeles Times’ site. According to Jamie, these seemingly healthy beverages (hey, does it get any better for ya than milk??) contain more sugar per ounce than soda. Who knew? The L.A. schools actually asked milk providers if they could whip up some of the flavored stuff, just without all the sugar.

What do you girls think? Has this celeb chef gone too far? A couple years ago, it was found that chocolate milk was a fab post-workout beverage, because of its blend of carbs and protein (the duo is essential after a sweat sesh). Remember when that Chicago school banned brown lunches? What’s a girl to eat midday? Blog it out, babes....
