3 Awesome Spring Drinks!

We’re always looking for ways to switch up our sips. Water is always your best bet when you’re crazy parched, but sometimes a girl just can’t down another glass. Here are a few yummy treats to try—that are all totally healthy.

Iced Green Tea
Brewed green tea is less processed than other and has lotsa health benefits. A recent study found it can protect against eye probs and even keep ya safe from certain bacteria. Follow the directions on the box to make a quick cup of icy goodness.

Exotic Juice Spritzers
Forget about O.J. Pomegranate, blueberry and cherry juices have all been found to have lotsa antioxidants and were ranked healthier than other juices in a recent study. Splash some 100% juice over ice and fill the glass with seltzer water. All the bubbles, but none of the crazy sugar of soda. Woo hoo!

Homemade Smoothies

OK, so we’re kind of on a blueberry kick. We recently chatted up celeb nutrition expert Jackie Keller and she spilled a fave smoothie recipe. It’s still a treat (‘cause it’s a li’l sweet), but better for ya than a stack o’ cookies.

Blueberry Banana Smoothie
1 med. banana
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 cup frozen blueberries
2 cups purple grape juice
 
Makes 2 servings.
 
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Whip until smooth. Serve cold.
