The 411 on Fashion Bash...
This August, GL celebrated our 20th anniversary—so, naturally, we threw a huge party! But our second annual Back-to-School Fashion Bash wasn't just our birthday…it was also the official pre-party to Pier 6 Pavilion's Austin Mahone concert featuring Fifth Harmony and The Vamps.
So what, exactly, is Fashion Bash? It's GL's annual (and totally free!) music and fashion festival for teens: three hours of fun, fashion, music, makeovers, giveaways, swag bags and more. Oh, and did we mention the celebrity hosts, popstar performers and surprise celeb guests? Basically, it's the #bestdayever for girls who want to rock out, look amazing and have a blast.
And—since we're always excited to head back to school and hit the halls in style—we wrapped up this amazing day with a fab fall fashion show featuring all the cutest new looks and trends.
Check out the highlights!

It's official: Bea Miller is a rockstar. We're obsessed!
After spending the day with the insanely sweet and talented Bea Miller, we have this X Factor alum's debut emo-pop EP, Young Blood, playing on repeat. Bea headlined our main performance and opened with "Open Your Eyes," the haunting theme song to Deep Blue—the first book in the WaterFire Saga. Then we rocked out to the rest of her album—"Fire N Gold" is topping our fall playlist.
-
Then our models hit the catwalk! The show started with "Mad for Plaid"...
It's prep school with a punk twist. Pile on the plaids, checks and tartans with tough-girl boots and leather jackets.
-
Next up? We flirted with "Fall Romance"...
Fall in love with moody florals, sweeping skirts and Western-inspired prints for a look that's oh-so-boho.
-
And then the final scene: "Sporty Glam" closed the show!
On the floor or off, metallics and neon will score you major style points. High-tops, faux fur and sleek track suits become your new season VIPs.
-
But let's back up a sec—did you do a double-take when this Duck Tape dress came down the runway?
Yep, this fab frock was made entirely of Duck Tape! We love the structured shoulders, metallic belt and on-trend A-line skirt. And that celestial print? Out of this world.
-
And all the gorgeous hair and makeup looks you saw on the runway?
That's all thanks to our amazing team of talented stylists from About Faces Day Spa & Salon in Maryland.
