If you need a fresh summer hobby, look no further than thrift flipping, a trend that TikTok is loving rn. Thrift flipping is when you take thrifted clothes and DIY them into something new. It can be as easy as making a pair of jeans into cut-off shorts, or as complex as turning a skirt into a swimsuit! Ashley aka bestdressed started her fashion career on YouTube. She hasn't made a video in almost two years (insert crying emoji here), but luckily for us, she still posts on TikTok and Instagram. Ashley's signature is unique, vintage statement pieces, a lot of which she tailors herself. If you're looking for easy thrift flip vids, Ashley is definitely your girl.

If you love bright colors and fruit prints, Lily aka ebc.jpg is the TikToker for you. Lily can be seen most days in a summery matching set, statement earrings and, obviously, platform cowboy boots. She flips or makes a lot of her own clothes and films tutorials showing her process. She also posts a GRWM almost every day, so you can see how she styles her (usually) cherry-printed pieces.

Andria Hall is a YouTuber, TikToker, small business owner and absolute girlboss. In her videos, she shows easy ways to upcycle clothing, like making a T-shirt backless or turning a button-up into a dress. She also makes "no sew" tutorials, which are thrift flips that don't require a sewing machine and are super great for beginners!

Tia Hrubala only needs 50 cents to make a totally iconic look. On TikTok, Tia is known for her thrift flips where she takes something she bought for just 50 cents and turns it into something that is oh so adorable. She also posts more in depth tutorials on her Youtube, so you can follow along with her. 

Starting a new hobby can sometimes be intimidating, but remember that you don't have to be perfect at it the first time around. Try to be patient with yourself as you learn. You've got this, babe!
