How do I find a BF?

I feel like I'll be alone forever. I've never had a boyfriend, and it feels like I never will. I know people keep saying, “Hang in there, it'll come one day.” I'm confident it will, but I wish it would come faster. I've gone to several people with this and they've all had the same answer. People try to set me up, but it's usually my "bad example" friends. I just want someone in my life that I can kiss and hug and that will make me be happy for once, but all I ever end up with are a bunch of celebrity fantasies.

Of course you won't be alone forever! To find that sweetie you’ve been looking for, you might just have to shake up your routine. Maybe the problem’s that you hang around the same people all the time, so you need to meet some new ones. Instead of staying home on Saturday and watching re-runs of “Teen Mom,” go volunteer at the local animal shelter, where you’re guaranteed to see some new faces. Or, if you always sit at the lunch table closest to the curly fries, move to another one and see what happens.

Once you’ve switched up the ol’ routine, just start talking! Smiling and saying “hey!” to the nearest cutie will give you a chance to strike up a convo. If he sees that you’re friendly and willing to talk, chances are he’ll wanna get to know you better. But don’t get discouraged if he’s not being as friendly—just move onto the next guy! It may take a little effort and some stepping out of your comfort zone, but it’ll definitely be worth it in the end.

Last but not least, don’t judge a book by its cover. You may think your lab partner isn’t BF material, but you could be wrong. Don’t write people off just because they’re too nerdy, sporty, tall, short, or whatever, because you’re only limiting yourself. People can definitely surprise you—you just have to give them a chance.
