i just found out i got a D on my algebra 2 test. its my first D ever. i feel awful. im upset. im depressed. i came home and ate like 20 Hershey’s chocolate kisses truffles, which i know is really bad. but i just couldn’t help it. i was thinking of throwing them up…but i didn’t. im such a bad person. i put over 8 hours of studying in for this test…and whats the result…nothing!!!!!xoxo,

Sweetie!
This does NOT mean you are a bad person! It may just mean that Algebra doesn’t come as naturally to you as other subjects. You deserve props for studying so hard. And you can still be brilliant even with an academic Achilles heel!
I used to be the same way: straight A’s in everything … until CALCULUS came along. Then I had a mini nervous breakdown! What I did NOT do (but wish I had) was talk to my teacher to see if maybe I was in the wrong class level, or ask for special help or a tutor. Turns out extra credit saved me, but I still don’t think I learned as much as I could have—and I definitely sweated through every class and quiz!
So don’t be ashamed…be SMART! And a smart girl always asks for help when she needs it. Good luck!
