Taylor Swift has officially made history *again*: She’s become the youngest woman ever to be inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. At 36 years old, Taylor is also the second youngest person to be inducted for this honor overall—a v. fitting achievement from the queen whose lyrics have soundtracked our first crushes, biggest heartbreaks and, tbh, everything in between. Our fave moments from the night, right this way…
Taylor celebrated with her biggest supporters

Ofc, the induction itself was a huge milestone—but we were just as excited to see who was in the audience cheering Taylor on. Turns out it was a full family affair: She attended the ceremony with fiancé Travis Kelce, Travis’ mom Donna Kelce, plus her parents (Andrea and Scott) and brother Austin.
After all, Taylor spent years writing songs about the people and experiences that have shaped her life. Having some of her closest supporters in the audience as she accepted one of songwriting’s highest honors? Cue the happy tears!
Taylor + Sombr = BFFs
@dailysombr this healed something in me. @sombr #sombr #taylornation @Taylor Swift #taylorswift #pop #cover ♬ we never dated – sombr
In a plot twist we didn’t see coming, during the ceremony, 20-year-old indie-pop star Sombr performed covers of “Dear John” and “Cardigan.” We already knew these two thought highly of each other (Taylor’s shouted out Sombr’s songwriting talents plenty of times before), but seeing their friendship IRL? Such a cute moment!
Taylor later joked that Sombr is destined to be her top artist this year on Spotify Wrapped and hinted that he was “the future of the music industry.”
Swifties are already analyzing ~everything~
@itsbeccasversion It’s giving NYU commencement address Easter Eggs 😅 Guess we’ll find out in a couple of years…. See you next era 🤭 #taylorswift #swifttok #songwritershalloffame2026 #eastereggs #ts5 @Taylor Nation @Taylor Swift ♬ Youre On Your Own Kid Instrumental – Dan Swift Del Rey
Ofc, no Taylor appearance would be complete without us searching for some hidden clues.
For the event, Taylor wore a strapless black dress with floral details, paired with her signature red lip. Swifties quickly pointed out that the flowers could be a nod to her debut era (Taylor’s Version coming soon, anyone?)—and that a few lines from her acceptance speech sounded *suspiciously* like song lyrics…
One thing’s for sure: Taylor’s latest honor is a reminder of the impact that her songwriting has had on the music industry—and why we continue to connect with her lyrics year after year. Congrats, Tay!
