Ok, I need advice here. There is this guy “Danny” in my P.E. class and he’s like really cute and nice, BUT he’s taken. He was on my team for ultimate frisbee (weird I know) and he laughed at some of my jokes, even though I wasn’t really talking to him. How can I give him a hint that I like him without his GF knowing. I don’t wanna steal him from her, I just want him to know that I’m an option when they break up.’

Hey girl,
Ugh it’s totally hard to be crushin’ on a dude with a GF. It’s even harder when you have to see your crush and his GF together! But is this dude worth waiting around for?
I know you’ve heard it a zillion times but there are plenty of guys out there–guys who DON’T have the drama and the GF attachment. What about your dude’s cute P.E. pals? If you’ve been able to make your crush laugh you can probably make his buds laugh too! Look around for another stud and strike up a convo–ask them for pens, ask if they found the homework hard or ask them what they’re up to this weekend.
If you DO decide to keep crushin’ on this guy, be careful! You DON’T want to get involved in a love triangle between your crush, his GF and you. Don’t do anything to break them up on purpose. If you’re going to talk to this guy keep it friendly but don’t be overly flirty–especially in front of his GF. How would you feel if some other girl did that to you?
Bottom line is: You don’t want to be an option for someone. You deserve to be some dude’s top priority. Take a look around and keep YOUR options open. Chat up other cuties because it’s not worth it to spend all your time just daydreaming about this dream dude. And hey, if this guy breaks up with his GF while you’re gettin’ to know other fellers then you’ve got the green light to go for it!
Good luck!
