Graduation is rolling around for the Newport gang, and I gotta say—so sad! But before we start shedding those tears, let’s take a look-see on what went down.
The Chase, Taylor, and Allie saga continues… Even though Chase is back with Taylor for good (whatever that means), Allie is having a tough time dealing with the whole scenario. She pops in on Chase at his job (I can’t believe one of them actually works, this is a first!) and gives some major tude. She not so nicely invites him to the senior bonfire, making sure to exclude Taylor. I just don’t understand the hype around this feller? Can ya girlies fill me in, because quite honestly, I’m lost.
Desperately wanting to get away for the summer, Allie changes her tactics and talks to her pops one-on-one about the Euro trip. When she started throwing a tantrum last week, I was totally shocked. Who talks to their parents that way? Daddy-o’s response nearly melted my heart—“You are not replaceable Allie.” Aww…how does a dad like that have a daughter like her? The apple fell far from the tree indeed!
Meanwhile, Chrissy and Clay are respectively stressin’ over her college sendoff. *tear* Chrissy’s dad is a total debbie downer and tells Chrissy that it most likely won’t work out. Uhh, thanks dad! I don’t know about old pops here, but I totally think they can make it work. And oh! Clay is a junior! Hold up, what? I had no idea, did you?
The Bonfire: Allie and Samantha throw one last hoorah before the school year ends. I cannot believe Chase brought Taylor to the little get together, although I was secretly happy. Our lovely friend, Karma, forces Allie to spend the rest of the night watching Taylor and Chase get their flirt on. Seething alongside Allie, Samantha joins in on the haterade. Girlfriend, you need to get your own action flick, and stop being Allie’s sidekick. BUT, the most shocking thing of all was when Chrissy totally ignored her dad’s calls to come home! Ooo hoo hoo…Chrissy is a rebel!
Graduation Day: Watching Chrissy, Sasha, Allie, and Chase put on their caps and gowns was a total tearjerker. Why must we grow up? Chrissy and Sasha are going to different colleges and I must say it was mucho tough seeing the BFFs huggin’ it out. But on the upside, Chrissy and Clay are going to try the whole long distance thang! Yay! And to top it all off, Allie’s parents surprise her with a “yes” to the Europe vacay. All in all, it was very bittersweet!
Next week is the season finale! What? This was the shortest season ever! Tune in to say your farewells to the NH gang!
Hugs,
Jiae
