Hey chicas! Are you making those rezzies a reality? From running with my brother to workout DVDs to hitting the gym, I’ve been super-active. It’s great to be on the move all the time but, truth is, I’m getting a little sore. Here are some fab tips for making those muscles feel better, and bouncing back faster.
Eat a post-workout snack. Nutritionists and trainers always recommend noshing a protein and carb combo within 45 minutes of exercising. My new faves? Almonds and dried tart cherries or almond butter and wheat bread (honey is optional, but awesome).
Do light exercise the day after an intense sweat sesh. I like yoga and walks with my BFFs or running after the pooches that I sometimes dogsit.
DIY massage. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m excited get a tennis balls and knead out soreness. Much cheaper than a spa day.
