GL’s editor-in-chief and publisher Karen Bokram is taking
one last look at our October/November cover. Gotta make sure it’s mistake-free
before we send it off to the printer. Did you ever hear about our 10^th
anniversary issue? Yeah, we spelled “Perfect” wrong. Oops!

In The Cave…

Senior editor Katie A. has been working for the last few
months in a back office we like to call “The Cave.” Today is a sad day in The
Cave, though, ‘cause Katie is movin’ down South for a spell. Right now, it’s
dust bunny central as she bulldozes through piles of beauty samples and old
mags.

Around the intern’s table…

Our editors-in-training are busy reading through your Fab
Fiction Contest entries! There are a lot of great short stories. It’s gonna be
hard to pick a winner for this one. Thank goodness we’ll have a celeb guest
judge makin’ the final call. But shh! That’s a secret!

In the kitchen…

The table is piled high with ooey gooey cupcakes. TGIF
indeed! We hate to bid our interns farewell (and watch Katie depart for warmer
weather), but we’ve gotta admit, we’re totally digging these sweet treats. Yum.

At Trish’s desk…

Trish, our entertainment editor and giveaway queen, is
finalizing a few details on the November giveaway calendar. That means we’ve
officially assigned a prize to Thanksgiving Day. Can you believe it? It’s not
even September yet!

In the fashion closet…

The fash closet is strewn with boxes and packing tape as our
fantabulous interns finish up returning samples we used this issue. Gotta make
way for the new batch. Speaking of, GL’s fashion editors are meeting today to chat about the upcoming spreads. I’ll be
eavesdropping 😛
