{related}OK,
so after movies like March
of the Penguins
and Happy
Feet, we
can’t help but love penguins. Just one look and we find ourselves
squealing over their black and white cuteness. Wouldn’t it be a
total dream to work on a movie with real-life penguins?

That’s
exactly what happened to 11-year-old Maxwell
Cotton who,
a penguin fan himself, landed the role of Jim Carey’s son in Mr.
Popper’s Penguins,
in theaters now! A big part of the movie’s charm is the ah-dorable
cast of waddling talent. Eager to learn more about the furry friends
he got to work with, we chatted up this pint-sized expert and had him
dish the real facts.

Fact:
Penguins (sometimes) bite! “My
favorite scene to film was probably when I got to get down on my
knees with the penguins. I’m glad they didn’t bite my nose,
though. They can be nippy!”

Fact: Penguins really love the cold! “A
fun fact about penguins that I learned while filming was that they
have to be in a room below 30 degrees. We had to keep it at least 30
degrees on set. I had to wear two layers of long underwear to stay
warm.”

Fact:
Max wishes he could receive a box of penguins. “It
would be a good a pet, but you would have to have them probably in
New York or Alaska or something like that.”

Penguins are for everyone. “All
ages should come see Mr.

It’s for anyone who wants to [just] laugh.”
