Remember to keep kids in their playroom or in easy clean up areas like the kitchen. Glue on Mrs. Smith’s brand new Persian rug is a recipe for disaster! And always, always help with sharp scissors or other tools that can potentially hurt wee ones. If kids are super small, try doing an assembly line. They can decorate and glue while you cut and tie.
1. Cut magazine pages into strips- some into rectangles, others into long triangles.
2. Starting from the wide end for triangles, tightly roll the strips around the straw or a small paintbrush handle.
3. Glue the ends, holding together until completely dry.
4. Run string through the openings in your beads. Tie securely together when complete.
