Say what you will about the movie, but you'll be stokin' the fire if ya tell us you're not just a little bit in love with Kami Garcia and Magaret Stohl's Beautiful Creatures series. We found it addictive and un-put-downable (did you? Tell us in the comments!), so we're psyched to announce that the BFFs and co-authors are getting together to write a new series set in the Beautiful Creatures world. This time, instead of Ethan and Lena, the story will focus on our favorite sidekicks, Link and Ridley. Yesss.

The first installment is called Dangerous Dream, and we don't even have to wait forever and ever to read it. This shorter story will be released as an e-book on Dec. 17. Hello, early Christmas present! The first hardcover in the series, Dangerous Creatures, hits bookstores May 6, 2014.

According to Publisher's Weekly, the story takes place after high school graduation, picking up where Beautiful Creatures left off. It will follow the new protagonists to New York City as they pursue their dreams. But don't fret, Ethan and Lena fans–the duo will be making an appearance.

“We’re going to have new teen characters, new villains, new settings, and old settings,” said Kami. “It’s really the best mix of the old and the new.”
