First up is Adam Lambert, singing Cher’s “Believe.” He says he “remixing” the song. It was…interesting. I liked it, though.
Matt Giraud played a very bluesy piano song. Oh, and his voice was good too. The instruments can be a bit distracting. They shouldn’t be the focus of the act.
Jamar Rogers sang “Hey There Delilah.” It was really different and unlike any rendition I’ve ever heard, but I liked it.
Danny Gokey was very nice as well, but I’ll probably forget his performance. Unless we hear even better (I’m optimistic), of course!
Anoop Desai was just as good as I remembered him to be, as was Jorge Nunez. (These are only flashes of audition clips, so I’m catching what I can.) Scott Macintyre was very good now that he’s back where he belongs—at his piano.
Stevie Wright, Lil Rounds and Kristin McNamera all seem to be strong contenders.
Misha Vonammera (I cannot spell her name for the life of me) was amazing, even though I don’t remember her at all from the earlier stages.
Tatiana Del Tora had her chance to sing just one song, but I really didn’t like it.
In one room are Alexis Grace (one of my absolute favorites) and Jasmine Murry. I hope this room gets in because these two are great. Joanna Pacitti and Casey Carlson are also there, and beautiful singers as well.
Leneshe Young, one of my favorites, was amazing but doubts herself.
So far one room has gotten through, the one with Casey Carlson, Joanna Pacitti, Alexis Grace and Jasmine Murry.
In the next room, the people were eliminated. I recognized only Michael Castro and Leneshe Young.
Room 1, which contains Anoop, Scott and many others, has been announced…safe! Does that mean the last room is gone? It has Tatiana and friends. Nope, they’re all safe. Even Tatiana, who I’m not too fond of at the moment.
Well, we’ve got this many people so far. We’ll have to see what happens tomorrow!
